Creating a blog couldn’t be easier and yet more complicated in 2020. There are so many different things to think about, and yet so many different platforms you can use to streamline the process. Understandably you’ll already have an idea of what you want to write about, I, unfortunately, can’t help you with that, but what I can do is show you how you can set up a killer blog that will drive readers to your website. We’ll take you through what you’ll need to get started, our five steps to setting your blog up, the best blogging platforms to use, how to get your blog discovered, and the do’s and don’ts of blogging. But first, we need to establish what type of blog you want to set up.
What type of blog?
Firstly you’ll want to have a goal in mind. What are you aiming to achieve through your blog? Do you want to pull in more users to your sales pages by writing about your brand, to increase its publicity? Do you want to build a blog that promotes brands and products from other companies? Or do you just want to set up a blog documenting your travels around the world? In order to pick the right software for you, you’ll want to have a grasp before you start of how big this blog is going to be, whether you’re going to monetize it, and what type of blog it’s going to become. For example, if you’re planning on building an affiliate blogging programme, where you promote other brand’s products and call readers to action to but the products, you’ll be writing a lot of content and will benefit from having a more comprehensive blogging system with lots of plugins to promote sales. But if you’re looking to just set up a personal, or a personal brand blog talking about yourself and your brand, you may not perhaps need as many comprehensive features as you would if you were building an affiliate blog. You may also want to build an online portfolio of your work, which could require an entirely different piece of blogging kit, as opposed to the traditional blog that hosts articles and journals.
What you’ll need to get started.
There are 3 key things you’ll need to get up and running.
A blogging platform.
After you’ve identified the type of blog you want to set up, plus whether you’re going to make money from it, you’ll then need to pick a blogging platform tailored to your needs. Many people chose to operate on WordPress as it is one of the most comprehensive blogging systems going, but they forget platforms like Wix and Squarespace that are great for both helping you save and make money and are great options for those who are less tech-savvy and are new to the blogging game. Plus if you’re blogging for business, you might want to think about using LinkedIn for your business blog. We’ll go into more detail on what blogging platforms are best for your needs shortly, but make sure to keep in mind your objectives and technical experience when choosing the right platform for you.
A hosting platform.
Every website needs a web host to store their website’s information on the internet. A web host is an online service provider that will store your website’s information on one of its online servers. This will put your blog out there to the world. The best web hosts will perform a variety of functions for you, for example, Wix is an all-in-one package that will host your website for you, allow you to register a domain name, and has easy to use website design tools to help you start your blog. Web hosting can be expensive though so make sure you pick the best value for money host that can cater to the amount of traffic you have running through your website. Check out our post on the 11 best hosting providers. [Insert blog link here]
A domain name.
I’m sure by now you already know what sort of blog you want to set up, whether that’s a travel, blog, a blog accompanying your online store, or perhaps an affiliate marketing product review blog. You’ll have a niche and an idea and now all you need is a name. Every website online has what’s called a domain name. It’s included in the website address at the top of your search bar, for example, our domain name is www.digitalsupermarket.com. You’ll need to register a domain name after you purchase a hosting plan, to enable customers to find your site quickly and easily. One good tip is to find a hosting platform like Bluehost or GoDaddy that will provide you with a free domain name when you register for one of their web hosting plans as domain registration can be fairly pricey. Pick a great domain name that is easy for customers to read and type into Google so they can find it easier online. TOP TIP: To increase your blog’s search engine ranking, and to help more people find you on Google, try to pick a domain name that has either a .com or .co.uk ending. These domains often rank a lot higher in Google searches than .org’s, .net’s, and .info’s, and for that reason can be slightly more expensive, yet can help boost your site’s reach and credibility.
The Best Blogging Platforms For You.
There are a wealth of platforms out there catering to all your blogging or online portfolio needs. We have listed some of the main ones below shedding some light on what needs they service and why they might be a great option for you.
WordPress - The best software to give you full customisation.
WordPress is perhaps one of the most renowned blogging platforms in the world, running approximately 35% of the internet. It’s favoured highly by professional bloggers because it gives you total freedom to do whatever you want with your blog. WordPress can help you build your blog using one if its search engine optimised themes, you can customise using its drag and drop website builder tool to create a stunning blog. What’s more, is you’ll be able to use its professional blogging service to post your content online and take advantage of the hundreds of third party app plugins, you can integrate into your blog, to improve automation, add new features, and drive traffic to your site. The only downside of WordPress is that it can be quite technical and can take some time getting used to, but once you’ve got the hang of things, you’ll have great control over everything on your webpage. Pros: Cons:
Domain name registration
Tons of third-party plugins and apps
Technical and can take some getting used to
Not the best if you’re not tech-savvy or are just starting out.
Wix - Best for monetizing your site.
Wix is probably the most streamlined and easiest blog providers. It’s so simple and easy to use, it’s therefore great for anyone just starting out in the blogging world. You can customise one of its stunning templates with Wix’s drag and drop editor, and then upload blog posts to your site by slotting in pictures, gifs, social media buttons, sidebars, and other widgets that will help your blog stand out. One of the coolest features about Wix is its marketplace integration, where you can install a whole variety of third-party applications to your blog to provide your users with greater features and usability. Wix is the perfect all-in-one blogging solution to help you easily build a platform to amplify your business to the world, helping you to make more money, but it can also save you a lot of money as it’s cost-efficient plans roll up, web hosting, blog posting, and domain registration all into one product! Check out our Wix review and our comparison of Wix and Squarespace for a deep dive into Wix’s main blogging features. [Insert link here] Pros: Cons:
Streamlined and easy to use blogging software
Includes as a package, web building tools, domain registration, and web hosting
Tons of third-party plugins and apps on the Wix marketplace
Great platform to help make money and save money on its reasonably priced subscription plans
Don’t get the same full control as you see with WordPress
Locked into using Wix’s templates.
Squarespace - Best for creating visually stunning blogs.
Squarespace is very similar to Wix, in that it is an all-in-one web building and blogging platform that can help you build a blog you can monetize efficiently. It sets itself aside though through its better design and customisation features, making it one of the best platforms on the marketing if you’re looking to design a visually aesthetic blog. I’d recommend using this platform if you are a business operating in some sort of design, arts, or culinary industry. Although it offers minimal template options, Squarespace’s templates are works of art and offer you great customization when building your blog. Plus Squarespace offers a great blogging tool that lets you schedule posts and customize your blog to suit more mobile audiences. Pros: Cons:
Streamlined and easy to use blogging software
Can build a visually stunning blog on Squarespace with its streamlined tools
Excellent blogging features
All-in-one web host, domain registrar, and web builder
Can’t add third-party applications on Squarespace
LinkedIn - Best for blogging businesses.
Aside from setting up a blog on your own site, corporate entities can use LinkedIn to enhance and amplify their presence online. LinkedIn has more than 575 million users, most of whom are professionals and members of corporate conglomerates, and you can use this social platform to target some of the most influential people in the world. If you’re blogging about business this is the perfect platform to use a pre-existing community of people to enhance your social standing. You’ll then be able to build connections and followers on your profile who can easily share your blog on their platform through a couple of simple clicks. Pros: Cons:
Utilise LinkedIn’s pre-existing community of business people to amplify your brand
Target corporate directors and influential people directly through LinkedIn
Check out what people are looking at on LinkedIn and tailor your content to that market
Again you are confined within what LinkedIn’s platform will let you do, it’s not your site and you don’t have full customisation
Instagram - Best for the Artists.
Instagram is one of the biggest blogging sites in the world and without realising it, we are all technically bloggers in some way with our Instagram accounts, right? Ultimately for professional use, it is great for building a portfolio that has some form of visual or graphic eye-catching media around it. Instagram lets you post videos, photos, boomerangs, even write a blog in the photo’s caption if you wanted to! Best of all, Instagram is free, and you can use its business software to link up your online store, to drag users away from your profile, using its product tagging features, and land them in your online checkouts. Our top tip for using Instagram is to post regularly and keep on the theme of your blog. Don’t go off-piste as you’re followers will catch on quickly and unfollow you. And with 1 billion people using the platform each day, it is a great way to gain people’s attention and build your brand’s presence online. Pros: Cons:
Best for the creatives.
Totally free and easy to use interface.
Access to a pre-existing community of people.
Online selling capabilities.
Again you are confined within what Instagram’s platform will let you do, it’s not your site and you don’t have full customisation
The Do’s And Don’ts Of Blogging
Here are a couple of top tips to bear in mind when building your blog to help you create an awesome, lead driven platform.
Don’t use complicated language too soon.
With that in mind, do include language that your target audience will understand. But remember they are still here to learn, so don’t drop people in at the deep end right away by using complex jargon off the bat. Define terms and spell it out in layman’s terms for people at the outset, and as the post goes on, then introduce more complex writing. Introducing technical jargon at the start of your posts is an instant turn off for most readers.
Don’t waffle - Keep it succinct.
People want to get to the punchline now. 43% of people admit to skimming through blogs to get to the information they need, meaning to get your blogging site converting leads, you need to engage the reader early on and offer information succinctly throughout your post. Plus don’t make your blog too long. Depending on what you’re writing, a lot of people will see large volumes of text and will switch off immediately. There is no set limit for what a good and bad amount of text is, that’s something you’ll have to figure out per your industry, but from my experience, the shorter, the better.
Don’t make headlines too long.
Also ensure that your headline is not more than 60 characters long. If it gets too long it won’t rank well in search engines and people just won’t want to read it. Check out this headline analysis tool which will analyse the effectiveness of your proposed headlines.
Don’t plagiarise or use credited images.
Copying other people’s work is lazy and can land you in a lot of hot water in extreme cases if you breach a copyright regulation. But it’s also just unfair on the person who has worked hard or been creative to write that work. The same goes for images, people need to make a living from the content and photos they’re taking so don’t steal that off them.
Do write killer headlines.
People are like goldfish. You only have about 3 seconds to get their attention. That’s why it is important to write catchy, funny, and enticing headlines to draw your reader in. One good way to do it is to use the “How To” and “10 Best” strategies. These sorts of titles telling people ‘How to set up a blog’ or ‘the ten best web hosting platforms’ are search engine optimised, lead winning titles that rank highly in Google searches. Try them out and see!
Do post regularly.
The key to creating a great blog that builds leads is posting regularly. Although it is not the best idea to post regularly. Ideally, you want to post 3-4 times a week to get the best influx of traffic to your site. You’ll also want to check out when’s best to post for your target audience, for example, if you’re in the FOREX market, you’ll want to post your blogs perhaps at 8 AM, before the markets open when city workers are on their staring at their phones on their morning commuter trains to the city.
Do share on social media.
Share your content far and wide on your social platforms. Everyone is on social media these days and its outreach is simply phenomenal. That’s why you should always share your posts to your social channels to get greater traffic on your website, and include share buttons all-around your blog to invite your readers to share your articles too!
Do use SEO keywords to drive more traffic.
In a nutshell, SEO keywords are the phrases people put into search engines when they are looking for information on a certain subject. They are how you get found on your website. Depending on what you are writing about, there is always a set of keywords relating to that topic that you can implement, to help you show up higher in people’s google searches. For example, people might regularly search in google, ‘what is the best compost for growing sunflowers?’ When you come to writing about growing sunflowers in your blog, you might want to use these words or incorporate this question into your blog somewhere, to help you rank higher on Google.
Do use call’s to action to take your readers to the next step.
If you don’t challenge your reader at the end of your blog to follow you on Instagram, or check out your sales pages, you’ll never get the leads or sales you are looking for. With that in mind, build compelling calls to action at the end of each of your posts, to pull readers into taking the next step. Check out our post on landing pages to see a couple of cool ways on how to implement calls to action on your site [insert link here].
Do identify a target audience.
People will often tell you to write as though you were in the shoes of the person you’re looking to bring to your website, but it’s true! Identify what type of people you’re writing to, for instance, if you’re writing a business blog about FOREX trading, you’ll write with potential traders in mind who have one eye on the stock market and the other on your blog. Or if you’re a wedding florist, you’ll set your portfolio up to target those people looking to get married in the next year.
Leads, Sales, Results.
Blogging is one of the most influential marketing strategies in the world and the best bloggers can reap some awesome rewards for producing some truly awesome content. It is fairly straightforward to get started and we advise if you’re a small business, or someone with minimal blogging experience, to try out Wix or Squarespace first before you jump into using more technical platforms like WordPress. WikiFX: the murky business and the murkier methods
https://preview.redd.it/1rf74ljv34l51.png?width=960&format=png&auto=webp&s=566235871ce22dd3078f0532dfb672bff6eb0707 The irony of financial markets is that this business that officially has got as much regulation as arms trafficking, has also got the same problem –- numerous illegal entities that evolve around the niche. Scam brokers, funds recovery services that rob the robbed traders, HYIPs, “learn how to make millions overnight” trading courses and a number of other schemes all tend to exploit the weak point of human nature – the belief that there is the magic device with the “MORE MONEY” button out there, that someone can sell you.
A thief shouting “Thief!”
Considering the above there is a high demand in society for truthful and unbiased information about the market players. WikiFX claims to be the provider of such honest information about brokers but in fact, makes money by blackmailing brokers and promoting any company that offers to pay enough in their rankings. WikiFX is a classic illustration of a thief shouting “Get the thief!” louder than anybody else in the crowd. The strategy works unfortunately and traders tend to trust WikiFx broker’s ratings without questioning what these ratings are based on and who sponsors this global brokers’ database.
Paving the road with some good intentions
Even the most horrible crimes against humanity were done under the cover of best intentions. Starting with the first crusades and ending with the holocaust. There are always some sound arguments, protected people and reliable methods. Ask any trader whether each forex broker must be regulated by a third party? The answer will be “yes” with a near 100% probability and this answer is totally correct. Know-your-customer procedures and some unbiased third-party control are essential for maintaining the overall transparency of any business in a sphere of finance. This is the argument that WikiFX starts with when promoting its service and there is absolutely no point to argue. Starting with an indisputable truth is a good strategy to win the debate. “The long-term presence on the market adds credibility”, – says WikiFX, and hears “yes” again. “Don’t you agree that the longer the company is in the business, the better?”. “Sure”, – the trader agrees one more time. The mission is completed. This is when the broker ranker can add any other criteria to their appraisal methods. Traders will tend to trust the service because they’ve agreed upon the most important criteria. The rest are minor details. But what if the rest of the appraisal methods are not just minor issues? What if these details can be the means to manipulate the facts as much as they want to?
Can WikiFX appraisal criteria be trusted?
If we take a look at any broker’s WikiFX rating, we can see that the criteria of appraisal are the following:
The year of registration
Market Making license
For example, this is what the top-rated broker’s summary looks like at WikiFX: WikiFX Forex com example https://preview.redd.it/t4ugtbt344l51.png?width=625&format=png&auto=webp&s=95fddf8434faf8938d1a3f18bbd5f1da2ceb47e4 Looks good. Really. Regardless of the attitude to this particular brokerage, the work seems to be done fine. All the regulators are listed below, the information on the used software, licensing, and years of operation is included. But what if we take some other random brokerage with one of the lowest rankings at WikiFX? NinjaTraderBrokerage WIkiFX Ranking https://preview.redd.it/pgyqp0u644l51.png?width=631&format=png&auto=webp&s=eb268faac83608a494c31a39eb1621f7132e3520 This is where the truth reveals itself. Once again, regardless of the attitude to this particular brokerage this is really easy to find out what they do, what licenses they’ve got and what kind of software they use. Suspicious clone? Seriously? If WikiFX staff cared enough to do any investigation prior to stamping that “Suspicious” mark on the brokerage, they would have seen that both domains, nijatrader com and ninjatraderbrokerage com belong to the same entity. NinyaTrader whois data https://preview.redd.it/2097lkw944l51.png?width=563&format=png&auto=webp&s=079cc4248b825a3cd941c6b691a67bb9769f4f7f If they cared enough to collect information on the brokerage from at least one reliable source, like Investopedia or any other similarly known database, they would also have found out that the company not only provides the brokerage service, but also is known for its trading platform with advanced technical analysis tools. But the only trading software that WikiFX considers reliable seems to be MT4/MT5. They simply ignore the fact that trading does not evolve around MetaTrader products, no matter how good and popular they are. WikiFX lowers the score of any brokerage with custom-developed software. We can clearly see this with the above example. Other criteria that WikiFX is proud to use for the broker’s appraisal are regulations. Using the same example let’s see how well they do the appraisal in this field. As you can see above, WikiFX used the “Suspicious Regulatory License” stamp for NinjaTrader Brokerage. And here is what The National Futures Association, that NinjaTrader is registered with as a futures broker has on its record: NFA regulation of NTB proof that WikiFX did not consider to be trustworthy https://preview.redd.it/di8fwkdd44l51.png?width=629&format=png&auto=webp&s=2de618d5df26bd8fcca99c51a6030f4bdfa7f776 We can’t expect every trader to know that any futures broker that wants to operate on the US market must be a member of NFA. This is the requirement of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission regarding the futures broker’s operations. But this is totally unacceptable for a broker ranking website, which WikiFX claims to be, to mark NFA-registered futures brokerage as non-reliable. By the way, did you notice on the above screenshot that NTB has obtained the NFA license in 2004? Yet, this does not prevent WikiFX from claiming that the brokerage has only been providing its services for 1-2 years only, instead of the factual 16 years of operations. We can long discuss the reasons that lie behind such selectivity of WikiFX but this random example clearly shows that any brokerage that provides access to non-forex derivatives trading or dares to suggest custom-developed software to its traders is in danger of receiving a negative review at WikiFX regardless of the factual reliability and regulations.
What lies beneath WikiFX selectivity?
WikiFX claims to have a team of professionals that are all involved in objective appraisal of broker’s services, licenses and used software. The methods used by these professionals remain unrevealed and as we see from the above comparison two similarly reliable brokerages can get any score from 1.0 and up to 10.0 at WikiFX, no matter what regulations they’ve got, for how long they’ve been in the business and what kind of software they use. This is difficult to say what lies behind such selectivity with 100% confidence. The first thing that comes to mind is that WikiFX might be affiliated with some brokers. The hypothesis gets even more realistic if we try to understand who sponsors WikiFX. There are no transparent built-in ads neither on the web-version of the website nor in its applications. There are no paid subscriptions for access to the database. This means that users sponsor the service with neither their attention to ads nor directly. Being the non-charity and non-governmental organization WikiFX can’t be sponsored with donations or a government. The only option that we have left is that brokers sponsor this ranking system directly, which automatically makes the whole system non-reliable and highly biased. The only transparent method that we know WikiFX uses to collect money is sponsorship fees they collect from their offline events participants. Let’s have a look at the exhibitors of the recent WikiFX Expo in Thailand. WikiFX Expo Exhibitors
TLC is a non-regulated investment platform that was founded in 2019
Samtrade FX is not regulated by any of the agencies that WikiFX itself lists as reliable
Forex4you is not regulated by any of the agencies that WikiFX itself lists as reliable
B2 Broker is a non-regulated broker
XDL FX is a non-regulated broker
VAT FX is a non-regulated broker Six out of sixteen WikiFX recent expo exhibitors do not have proper legal status according to the “standards” of WikiFX itself. This fact does not prevent them from promoting the services of these companies at their offline events. This conspicuous fact tells a lot about the attitude of WikiFX to common traders looking for reliable partners. Reputation is nothing but a sale item for this brokers’ ranking system.
Murky & Murkier
So far we’ve only discussed the facts that anyone can check himself using free tools and sources. It was not that difficult to discover that WikiFX uses non-transparent standards for brokers’ appraisal. It ignores the specifics of some brokerages lowering their scores due to non-standard derivatives they offer to trade or custom trading software. It also promotes non-regulated and non-licensed brokerages, which is 100% against the declared WikiFX values and mission. The rumors are that this company was also noticed blackmailing brokers with the purpose of making them pay for better reviews at WikiFX. There are also some signs that indicate suspicious promotion of WikiFX platform through social media and Quora. Some of the WikiFX positive reviews also look highly suspicious. All of the above is a matter of further investigation. Nevertheless, thousands of users keep relying on the information provided by this scam ranking system. It may even look like all these users are satisfied. WikiFX has got 4.5 starts at Google Play, which sounds good enough. However, positive WikiFX reviews use similar semantics and are also highly suspicious. Despite the high average grade, Google Play finds the following messages to be most relevant and brings them to the top of WikiFX reviews: Google Play most relevant WikiFX reviews https://preview.redd.it/kftutvcl44l51.png?width=532&format=png&auto=webp&s=1ccb74ee156388285a2fab711dd604945c04377c
You’ve got the facts now and it’s time to make your own conclusions.
Never believed one could start a business with $0 capital. This sounds unbelievable but I was wrong.
Back in 2016, I dabbled into checking up how to start a digital business career. I scramble on various materials online on how to make money. Oh shit! I wouldn't like the one that would want me to invest something first as I feared risking in a business I didn't know much about. I can say my risk believe system on online investment was zero. My first knowledge in online business was in domain parking and flipping yet that will require you buy the domain from godaddy.com , namecheap.com, justdropped and many of those sites. I was looking for one that is free and I can park to earn me small bucks. But none! I check up other ways like blogging especially I learnt that one can set up a free WordPress, blogger, tumblr and other free to use sites but your domain name will have there suffix in the dotcom. I innocently set up dailycashlife.wordpress.com I put up some little articles on it which talks about making money online and some of the articles I have read on the niche. Fast forward to 2017, I had absorbed much learning online especially on running facebook ads for businesses. I summoned a courage to chat a company I found their website online and I shared my experience. I was sincere to let them know that I am just starting out as a digital marketer but with much zeal to help any firm to turn in more sales and double their revenue. I was given the chance to start up handling all their social media platforms with my little experience in graphics design. That was when I made my first $20 for that service. Though I never expected anything as I couldn't consider myself to be an expert. After making this bucks for a constant 3 months, I started trading forex from part of it and I made few profits too. Though I lost also but my capital management strategy worked out for me to turn in $200 from a $75 trade within 2 months. That was how I started multiplying my investments online taking up more chances and today, I may not be so rich as you may think but I am comfortable with my strategy of earning online consistently doing so for barely 3 years now. I doubted the article I read in 2016 on how one can start an investment with $0 capital. I think I owe the writer an apology for my doubting act.

This is a test of different methods to make passive income. With different goals, starting requirements, time to build requirements and business models. There are three questions to be addressed and answered;
Can a person build up meaningful passive incomes starting free, and spending less than an hour a day. Can blogging and SEO replace a full time income in passive/recurring income in under two years? Can speculation based passive income achieve compounded ROI over 250% in a year?
The three models I will use will be building an online services based business, and later outsource the delivery of service. Write long form blog posts to target niche questions in an area of which I am very knowledgeable, and investing in managed Forex accounts. More in-depth details on each; Services Business With this, I will see if I can build a services company from $0 revenue with $0 out of pocket costs. Once I have met a target amount of net profit monthly, I will look into ways to outsource the service delivery at a cost less than my monthly income. When I'm making money with this, I'll re-invest it into improving things like websites, marketing funnels and product delivery efficiency. I'll be selling an informational based product on subscription. I will have weekly and monthly subscription offers, and will do these at extremely low price points. $3 a week or $10 a month. It's the old "Stack 'em high and sell 'em low" tactic. I know there is a lot of scepticism (rightly so) around the niche I am working in. A lot of people do the same service with terribly low quality. The best way to succeed here, is to make it almost risk free to try it, and then leverage world of mouth - social proof is king in sceptical niches. I set this up in 20 minutes. There's no need to spend a lot of time on it. I used wix.com for a free website. Their template feature built the website, and I edited the details. Really, 10 minute job. Then I used the Wix logo maker to get some logos. I set up a Facebook fan page, with that I set up a couple groups. One is a public group for marketing, the other is a paid members group. I used Canava to make my cover pictures for this. https://www.canva.com/create/facebook-covers. I also set up a Telegram channel for quick and direct communication with paid members. I will spend about 20 - 30 minutes on this a day. I will do my content for the paid members, and then I will also water this down a bit and use it for marketing also. As time goes on, I will add different distribution channels for the marketing content. I will do this by creating one solid bit of content, and then little bits of it as feeder content. This recycling of content is referred to by Gary Vee as "Sawdust content", and it's a great way to leverage time. https://www.garyvaynerchuk.com/content-content-content/ I am going to drive past this by making my main promotion method a week's free trial. The niche is quite technical, it has a learning curve to it. To save me a lot of hassle on FAQs and teaching the absolute basics, I am going to focus my posting efforts into areas where people speak my language. I'll promote in dedicated forums. The audience of this will be highly targeted, and convert easily for a free trial. They'll also cover easily to the low ball subscription. So long as the service does it's job, they'll stay on and tell others. If it doesn't do it's job, I do not deserve to be paid. When it comes to outsourcing, I have a few options. I can take apprentices. Teach them the skills for free, and then later give them jobs. There's the option of directly hiring a competing service to basically white label for me. Finally I have the option of selling the entire business for a large pay off, although this is not technically passive income, I would get paid 2 years worth of time running the service up-front. I class that as a win. SEO Blog For my SEO blog, I am going to set up a "Go to" guide for people setting up services that are very similar to the services company mentioned above. I know, It's like typing 'Google' into Google ... there's no way to tell what will happen. I will actually be teaching them how to set up a service a step above the one I am doing for the services passive income. Anyone who does well with the services company I am doing will naturally switch to a more profitable and easier to run service. I've already been down that road. I know the questions and challenges these people will face making this evolution in their business, and I can provide a lot of value to these business owners. I've done basic keyword research, and I think I can write better articles than currently exist, and can do more "SEO stuff" than those ranking now have done. I'll monetise this with affiliate offers (there are things essential to running the business, most of my traffic will need these things). I will also probably scale this out to offer things like article writing, lead generation, sales funnels and so on. Of the above, almost everything can be outsourced if it is bespoke, or created quickly from templates that are customised to suit the business owner wanting to purchase it. So these are easily made passive incomes, and the affiliate deals pay me recurring without extra inputs from me. So all I need to do is get the blog to the top of Google on my searches, and then systematise the delivery of things I sell there. Again I am not going to take a lot of time on making the website here. I'll use Wordpress, I'll use Elementor as a page builder. The general stuff on my site will be nothing flashy or fancy. Clean, professional and minimalist suits my niche well. 80% of my time on this will be spent on keyword research and article writing. I am not going to put huge efforts into backlinking and other SEO tactics. I'll make my on page SEO tight, and then I will write extremely high value articles. My play on this will be entirely based upon writing stuff people do not bounce from. I'll do my best to be the best, and then trust Google will work that out, somehow. Start up costs on this are low, but there are some. It requires at least a domain name and hosting. Also autoreposnders and likewise tools will help. Net starting costs for this does not exceed $200. I will allocate on average 2 hours a day to this. This may be in small blocks of writing and keyword research each day, and sometimes marathon writing seasons. I will be using a basic SEO model of having some main pillar content (4,000 words or so) and a bunch of feeder blogs (1,500 - words or so). If and when I do any sort of backlink building (and I will, if my raw writing is not ranking) , I'll adopt the sawdust strategy as explained by Gary Vee. As an added bonus, I can run another little services business from this website that is related to my low cost services business. This then acts as a natural place to send people who are highly over qualified for my super cheap service. Alternatively, I can sell these people as leads to business owners looking to learn more about setting up these services and landing on my site. This makes me less, but is entirely passive. Speculating and Compounding For this, I've invested $10,000 into a managed Forex trading account that runs on a medium/high risk setting. This is entirely passive. The trading team and I sign a contract. Then everything just happens. I'm a person of relatively high risk tolerance, so I am willing to see my investment swing down 30 - 35% in the worst losing streaks. Based on historical results, this should enable me to average over 20% a month (using geometric averaging over 12 months). Meaning I compound over 250% annually. I will run this investment for at least 3 years, which if target gains continue to hit, will compound to over 1,000% gain. Even though I am risk tolerant, I am not mental. So my continued investment is this is contingent upon the account manager maintaining common sense risk protection benchmarks. If anything "weird" happens, I'll pull all or most of my investment, and allocate to different account managers. Results so far on managed account: +$1,047.11 https://preview.redd.it/1up08q4an8c31.png?width=818&format=png&auto=webp&s=8c4b29839cc7bca7924998e975f92705fe715230 I will post either weekly or bi-weekly (depending on other obligations) updates on how these ventures develop.
Heads up for those who intend to invest in the Stox ICO
Let me begin by saying that despite my ongoing criticism, i appreciate Bancor's protocol for enabling speculative tokens exchange. I don't think Bancor is a scam or a worthless investment However, i think that investors have the right to be informed about projects they are about to invest so i took the time to collect that information. Techcrunch and other articles that mention invest.com as some veteran company raking in gazzilions of dollars and Stox as a fresh, exciting company (Yay journalism propagating press releases) are slightly inaccurate. for both of these cases. Invest.com is a domain that was bought specifically for Stox for a hefty sum of $5M (Yep. not making this up). Stox was once called Stox, then renamed itself to Getstocks (45K monthly visitors) and now set up a "new" company called Stox. In essence, they were a "regular" investment platform that raised $20M (technically Invest.com raised the amount, but Invest.com is basically Stox) from investors (and dealt with fiat, so no need for that new token, obviously) for a social forex investing platform not unlike Etoro, before their current "prediction market" route they've taken. they got into financial problems and had to fire employees because of it and if their annual volume couldn't sustain 30 employees, forget about the $50M in profits. from what i gather, they had around a couple of millions in volume. As for Invest.com. Don't confuse Investing.com and Invest.com. both are Israeli platforms but with a slight difference: Investing.com has 66M visitors a month, for an average of 10 minutes a visit and 50% bounce rate. it is an established trading news platform and a very popular one at that. if it was investing.com which issued the ICO, i'd be all over it. Invest.com has 400K visitors a month, for an average of 48 seconds a visit and a 82% bounce rate. there is no way this is an active platform with the volumes they suggest they have. no fricking way. the numbers simply doesn't add up. So where do those magical numbers come from? Invest.com bought a binary options company called AnyOption.com and retained their databases. Binary options were having a hard time in Israel because many realized they were basically gambling platforms rather than trading ones, despite marketing themselves as the latter. many of these got closed due to legal implications. a typical company like AnyOption used to hire hundreds of sales people that were spending hours aggressively calling all over the world trying to convince people to trade in their platform. they were hard spammers that promised easy entry into stock trading but in practice provided for a high risk, low reward gambling. With the purchase of AnyOption.com, Invest.com supposedly got AnyOption.com's costumer base so they could claim their volume as the former AnyOption volume, however, a quick glance at their website data shows that their lack of activity really hurt them (down to 250K visitors a month). **It is also important to know that AnyOption founders have recieved shares in Invest.com, so investing in Stox is rewarding AnyOption founders as well. So those billions in volume, tens of millions in profit and millions in clients are A. not Invest.com figures, B. outdated and diminished by now. To summarize, i am not saying Stox is a scam, or that Stox doesn't have potential. i just want to stress out that the information you are getting is vastly inaccurate and i believe you are entitled to a more honest overview.
Setting up your first experimental sales funnels free.
In this post we will cover how to set up your first automated sales systems if you have not done this before, entirely for free. Without a lot of technical skills required. Depending on your level of IT literacy, the set up can be done in under an hour (for a very basic version). If you do not know how to use things like basic HTML and Wordpress, you will have to learn a little about these as you go along (but there is ample resources for this online). First step is to sign up at Infinity Free. They ate going to hook you up with some free web hosting. You can get a Wordpress site from there (there are other options too). When you get into the control panel it will look like this. Infinity Free Control Panel. Install Wordpress. Infinity Free: Installing Wordpress https://infinityfree.net/support/how-to-install-wordpress/ It will look like this. https://preview.redd.it/4r0ft8zjjhn21.png?width=1632&format=png&auto=webp&s=8554dcd5b4b8125f9d4cf59e15c09883ea0cc909 I forgot to mention earlier, you can either buy a domain name or use a free one provided by Affinity Free. When using a free one, it ends "epizy.com". You can see I have called this one PassiveIncomeExample then used the free domain name PassiveIncomeExample.epizy.com . Scroll down from this page, pick a theme and hit install. You will be given your admin link to access to Wordpress site. This link should be (Sitename.com) wp/wp-admin/. Now you have a free Wordpress blog. You can install add-ons etc and use it like a paid blog. The only cost for this is Infinity Free will have some of their banners on your site (which is fair enough). Next we will be needing an email autoresponder and capture page generator. For this, we go to MailChimp. They will give you the ability to do this for free for small lists of people. Do be sure to check MailChimps term of service for things they do not allow. Otherwise, you will write your email follow ups only to find when MailChimps alog scans them it finds "trigger" words that flag your account for review (disabling it in the meantime from you using it to send emails), and get it closed if you are breaking the terms. These terms forbid promoting things that tend to generate a lot of complains. Examples are MLM/affiliate deal, Forex/Binary options etc. When you join MailChimp they will have a little start up quiz asking your some questions about what you are going to do to get the best settings. They will also probably try to upsell you to a paid subscription at this point, but just use the free one. Starting out, it usually is covering everything you will need while learning to use these. You will also have to give them some personal information, which is to comply with spam prevention laws. MailChimp Landing Page When you get into MailChimp, click "Create" (at the top) and then from the above screen select "Landing Page".
Give your landing page a name on the next screen.
Accept the terms of using templates.
Pick a template.
Here I have a template capture page. Example Landing Page MailChimp I can edit the fields to suit what I want. MailChimp Landing Page Everyone likes to see pricks, this is why reality TV is so popular, so people put in their emails. Now what? This now tells me the list they will be sent to, and also the welcoming message they will get. Which I can edit to best suit. https://preview.redd.it/r3rtf650ohn21.png?width=1722&format=png&auto=webp&s=dedd265f938fa53579e928f6c5c0036bba5b54b6 Once all these are set, this can be "published", and you will have a live link to go and see it online. Do not share it yet, you still need to add email follow ups. Now you can go to "Create" again and select "Email". MailChimp Email Select "Automated" and "Welcome Subscribers". MailChimp Automated Email In this area you can set up series of emails, You can set them to trigger X days after the person joins the list. So to send a week or emails at one a day; Trigger after 1 day, 2 day, 3 day and so on. Automated Email Triggers MailChimp So if I was selling the product listed on this capture page, I would probably be wanting to program these follow up emails to keep sending them the top pricks. Maybe 5 - 10 pricks a day, linking them to places where they can buy it. I may also decide I want to email again after some time has passed, so maybe email them little updates every two weeks or so for a few months. Now you can test all of this, if you have done it properly you should be able to put your email address into your opt in page and start to get automated emails. If this is not the case, you have done something wrong, check over things and find out what. If it does work, great. That is the basic components of an automated sales system in place. You now have a free blog. On here you can make sales pages to advertise products, write reviews for products in blog posts, host videos of you reviewing videos etc. You have a place that is a base for your marketing efforts. You also have a way to automatically tell people about why they should be visiting your website and buying your stuff. Your task now is to work out how to drive traffic to the landing page. After I have made this, how do I find people who want to see my top pricks? The secondary task is to take whatever feedback you can get from people you are putting into this to make it more efficient in the future.
How the fall in Rupee Exchange Value Impacts Your Investments?
The world is the most unpredictable place. Especially with a continuous change in motion, the position of any country can’t be counted as the stable position. Talking about the development process of any of any country is totally dependent on the development of the currency of its country, how the country is actually growing in different aspects with different growth factors taking place. For instance, the growth of health conditions in the country how poor or good they are, the quality of education in the country, the rate of employment or moreover the poverty line of the country. All this depends on the value of the currency the country has, the better the currency, the better the country is. Talking about Rupee, the situation since 1945 till now is never a stabilised one. The rupee has only tangoed all this while, deliberations on the amount of debts have just grown intensely. However, when it comes to the growth of Rupee, you’ll find nothing. Although, the past few months have been ever growing for the Rupee, one can’t ignore the fact that the fluctuations were terribly high and still are. Thus, when the condition of the rupee is itself in a concoction, how can one expect to have a constant growth in another domain or field. Another reason one can find is the constant fluctuations in the Euro Exchange rate for the global markets that have their business standards quite trembling too. The impact of this tremble is quite visibly witnessed by many. As known the Indian Rupee depends on the USD for its trade growth and economy development, not to forget the constant fluctuations in the Crude Prices and the Hiking highest of the Brent shows a constant change and no possible stability due to the Waiver take off by the US due to Trump’s decision can largely impact the world. Imagine if Indian Rupee has touched an all-time low, one’s immediate reaction is to worry about the inflation and the negative impact on the finances. Stock markets have reacted negatively as foreign investors are pulling money out of emerging markets including India. https://preview.redd.it/6dzmji4ibmy21.jpg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a0fc0a0f904a9f35e43659c36a967444be7bc2ff The investments will be depleted on the condition that all this will be gorged in a different shape. No high value of Rupee will result in no returns for your investments because the value of the rupee has changed totally. As an investor, an important skill is to have an ability to connect the dots. This applies to your personal finances too. Being aware of the implication of economic developments on investments can not only help save money but also seize opportunities. The investment of an investor depends a lot more on the fundamentals of a country and the movement of the country’s currency based on its fundamentals. While looking at our fundamentals we stand tall over them as one can see that there is no rise in the overall debt (excluding the corporate debt & NPAs.) For instance, the daily forecast that is published on BookMyForex for every currency can help you in taking your decision in a better way. Here’s today forecast for your reference: 22 April 2019: The rupee had opened with a positive gap at 69.46 regaining through the day touching a high of 69.6175 in the afternoon. However, the strong dollar sales in the last 30 minutes allowed the rupee to later close at 69.34. The rising crude prices confuse the rupee’s recovery. Brent broke above $74.00 mark today amidst the speculations coming from the US that Trump is to discontinue the waivers on buying Iranian Oil. Situations are tough for any forecast on Rupee as there will be no political and economic decisions taken to combat the crude price hike until the election results are out by May 23rd.

The BINs are $37.50 and priced to move. Marijuana and cryptocurrencies are growing, get your piece of them today! Links to my other sales: http://www.c2mi.com/
I had to comment on this post because it seems like no one in the 'crypto' world actually recognizes the amount of money (FIAT) that goes into creating a business of a grow/co-op.
While I can appreciate your need to speak for "everyone" you do not speak for me. I have and currently do represent a number of Arizona dispensaries in the much needed, reputation management area. I know PRECISELY what goes into a dispensary and grow operation as far as initial capital, fees, build-out, final inspections, advertising, investing in the grow or coop. And then monthly maintenance, building costs, labor, etc, etc. It's a business, we get it. Further, one of my better clients... I know how much he makes per year after costs. And as a non-profit, it has to be given away. If you can give it away and create an economy at the same time...? And we didn't tell you to
convert solely to cryptocurrency
hold a high stake at any given time in any particular crypto.
Everyone is in a disillusioned world of crypto that doesn't even exist yet.
Once again... speaking for everyone, thanks. YOU are the one that exists in a world where crypto doesn't exist. We are in a different world. Most of us had smartphones while everyone was sporting RAZRs. We had a web presence before many fortune 500 companies. We... are your future. You want national adoption... adopt us first. WE, are trying to tell you, accept the future, or become the next Blockbuster.
I am going to list some of my expenses that I can't pay for with POTcoin:
Solar. There are, good, electronics stores that take BTC for solar. Cause ya'know, hippies. Don't say it can't be done. It's past-tense.
Internet * Phone
I really don't have time to list why this is not worth listing.
Everyone in the United States pays rent or mortgage.
Right, here is an industry that needs crypto too.
Have you asked? Have you said, hey... wanna get paid in this untraceable currency? You know, the one you don't have to report getting?
See, previous. Maybe you haven't heard? FedSEC says, Crypto no bueno currency, Crypto = Property. Dispensaries here are non-profit. Donate your property (Pot), we donate our property (POT) and no income is triggered, because POT is based on Pot. Parity trade. NO taxes!
Advertising (ads, business cards, flyers)
Dude... if you ACCEPT crypto... you won't spend another dollar on advertising for at least a year. I promise. Everyone HERE promises. Not another dime on advertising. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Office Supplies (pens and paper to computers and printers/ink to office chairs and furniture)
I'll just pretend you didn't list this. If you're hurting so bad for these items, you either need to have a talk with that staff of yours, change habits, or change systems. If it is a matter of state requirements. Don't list it.
Maintenance & Cleaning (from paying people to clean to the supplies they use)
So, you can't find some undocumenteds that want bueno crypto? Really? Tell them, UNTRACEABLE... CAN SEND ACROSS ANY BORDER AT 1% OR LESS!
Fertilizers and growing supplies
See solar. Hippies. Many accept BTC.
Find a lawyer that takes crypto, they exist.
How do you expect me to forget the fiat game?
Don't want you to. We want you to accept it on par with fiat. That's the idea. YOU are creating the economy.
Even if I only accepted POTcoin,
Surely don't want you to do that. Plus if you are a legit place you have AARP customers that probably aren't privy to crypto. They will cover the rent.
I'd have to exchange to FIAT to pay my bills because AT&T is never going to take PotCoin as payment...
That's actually a direction I am moving toward... servicing customers like you that have crypto and want to interact with the non-crypto world. You add me to your utilities and bills, and I am like the online bill pay for altcoin. But see, it has to start somewhere! In 1993 I was begging people to buy domain names. "What the hell do I need that for?" Indeed. I cashed out most of my single noun and single verb domains in the late 90's before the dot com collapse and didn't work for a few years after that from the sales. Coasted right thru the crash.
and the only way to not get screwed by any crazy jumps in the market are to do it instantly at the point of transaction for every purchase... even waiting a day could lose me 20% on days like today.
Once again, that's where my company will fill a need. I'm actually very well trained in high speed trading and forex coding in MT4. This, is rather simple, comparatively. I will guarantee no-slip membership levels. That means, LOCKED IN TRADES. We take the hit if we make a bad trade, in getting your fiat back.
Please I would love to hear any real options and this isn't an attack on the posters or people in this community, just a very real down to earth and inquisitive request.
Please... take a chance... THEN... be negative if it doesn't work. Or be a hero, WHEN it does.
The price of your coin went from 1POT = $0.01USD to 1POT = $0.0055USD <~ pretty much a 50% drop in price in the past 3 days. HOW ARE YOU NOT ALL UPSET BY THIS! Even as the price per BTC of POTcoin goes up, you are losing value because you are tied to BTC.
tl;dr We want to untie from BTC and tie to Weed. I ideally, would like to see a range of:
0.125 - 0.420 for 1/8th of Medical Grade bottom shelf California state average

Bought a SuperMicro 4U Server. Help me build it out!
Hello, I'm pretty new here (And don't post on reddit), but I am hoping you guys could help me out. I just purchased a SuperMicro 4U 36 bay chassis with a X9DRi-LN4F+ Motherboard on a whim and a dream. My plans for this box will be to build a larger home media server, 20+TB, host a fast database, as well as likely run some automated programming for trading purposes (Futures, Forex, etc). For the latter reason I am strongly leaning toward a Windows Server 2012 (or Windows 10) build. I can be swayed however. I realize i've probably bought more than i need, but that's my MO. So I'm asking for help choosing processors, memory, drives. My initial thoughts are 2 Xeon 2637 like this one. I am assuming this motherboard can handle Engineering Spec CPU's. 64GB DDR3 ECC Ram. Is there anything wrong with that RAM? The price is right up my alley. 2 SSD drives for the OS, and an unknown number of storage disks. For the storage disks, I'd wait until a good sale and make a bulk purchase. I'd hope to use 4TB or larger. The box i bought comes with a hardware RAID card, and if i go windows i'm assuming i'll utilize it. I was considering FREENAS as well, but that was before i decided to get such a strong system. I'm thinking I can use this for many activities. I have a nice server rack, in the basement, where it can be loud and whatnot if it needs to be. Any advice is helpful. I'm good with a computer, just never built a server like this before. Thanks in advance. Adam
Concerns over using credit card for international online transactions. (details in description)
Hello, first of all this is not a concern about identity theft or doubting merchant's authenticity. I am aware of the cardholder protection against fraudlent transcations and its completly safe technically. What I am concerned about is the RBI's circular which was published last year (Link)(relevent now because Aliexpress is going to have 3/29 aniversary sale and I have so many products to purchase) which affects the tranctions made to international ecommerce/service providers. This not only affects everyone who is intrested in buying stuffs from international portals but even those webmasters and developers who want to buy hosting, domain and other services. Some of the portals are exempted by this rule like google play, App Store and such but we can never be too sure what websites are supported and what are not. So I was hoping if someone could throw a light on the policy and make things clear. The basic doubt that I'm having is should I use my credit card for international online purchases or just drop the idea completly. New RBI restrictions may impact your international online purchases
